Here at J & W J Morris, we are delighted that all our drivers have completed and passed the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC).
The Driving Standards Agency requires professional lorry, bus and coach drivers to hold the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) in order to drive for a living. New drivers entering the profession must now pass the Driver CPC initial qualification. Once qualified they must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years throughout their driving career to maintain their Driver CPC and continue to drive professionally.
The Driver CPC rules affect everyone who drives vehicles over 3.5 t professionally including drivers of removal lorries. All our drivers completed their CPC before the September deadline.
